Raymond M. Tipton, widower of Sylvia Johnson Tipton, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was an 84 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Troy and Bessie Amburgey Tipton, owner and operator of Tipton Equip-ment, and a member of Main Street Church of Christ where he served as elder. He is survived by 4 daughters, Janie (Dutch) Vollmer and Donna (Gist) Howell, both of Mt. Sterling, Lois (Jeff) Fiser of Florida and Kelly (Patrick) Sneed of Alabama, a son, Larry (Beverly) Tipton of New Jersey, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Frances Estes, Lou Alice Blevins and Jo Ann Isaac, all of Mt. Sterling, and 2 brothers, Thomas G. Tipton of Mt. Sterling and Bobby Tipton of North Carolina. Kevin Clarence Russell, husband of Sherry Tapp Russell, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was a 44 year old native of Lexington, son of Lillian Garder Russell of Mt. Sterling and the late Lawrence Russell, and a member of the Church of God. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Shelby Russell, a stepdaughter, Kristina Tapp, a grandson, Kashdon Bellamy, all of Mt. Sterling, 4 sisters, Debbie (Billy) Caudill and Anita (Mitch) Mann, both of Mt. Rollie Gilbert Carpenter, husband of Vernell Walters Carpenter, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was an 82 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Jesse Monroe and Annie Wilson Carpenter, an Army veteran, retired tool and die maker, and a member of Spring Street Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Connie Watson, a grand-daughter, Rena Thacker, a grandson, Rollie Monroe Carpenter, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Gertrude Wilson and Helen Kline, all of Mt. Sterling. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Irvin, Jesse, Lee, Clyde and Arnold Carpen-ter, and 3 sisters, Pearl Vice, Ida Curtis and Fay Messenbrink. Katherine Charlene Patrick, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. She was a 60 year old native of Virginia, daughter of Dorothy Daniel Jones of Mt. Sterling and the late Charles William Jones, a registered nurse and a board member of the Blue Grass Hemerocallis Daylily Club. In addition to her mother, she is survived by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Diane Johnson of Lexington and Donna Lee Jones of Mt. Sterling, a nephew, James Mikael Johnson and his fiancé, Dr. Jessica McQuerry of Lexington. Her memorial service is 6:00 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Grassy Lick Road. Tyler Leigh Hymer, daughter of Patti (Freddy) Donaldson of Mt. Sterling and Paul Edward Hymer of Winchester, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 surrounded by those she loved. She was a 35 year old native of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and a waitress. She will be missed by all, for her beautiful spirit and sweet nature. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Edith Hopkins of Mt. Sterling, a brother, Timothy Bays of Columbus, Ohio, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a memorial and scattering service on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Lexington Cemetery, 833 W. Main St., Lexington, KY. She was a 74 year old native of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Julian and Anna Piersawl, a retired employee of Jockey International, and member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ. She is survived by 2 daughters, Donetta (Aundrey) Oldham and Jackie Richmond, both of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons, Randall Richmond of Mt. Sterling and John Richmond of Georgetown, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Elizabeth Spinks of Florida, a sister-in-law, Bettye Talbert of Lexington and a brother-in-law, Michael Richmond of Indiana. Roger Loren Fraley, loving husband of Linda Cole Fraley, of Mt. Sterling, went home too be with The Lord on Monday, October 6, 2014. He was a 72 year old native of Morehead, son of the late Everett Allen and Anna Mae Adkins, an Air Force veteran and served in the Vietnam War, and he was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel with the Christian faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jude Allan (Jessica) Fraley of Harrodsburg, a daughter, Gina Gayle (Billy) Condra of Lexington, 2 stepdaughters, Ann (Richard) Curtis of Winchester and Melissa (Bill) Craker of Lexington, 2 stepsons, Cleve Newton Jr. of Winchester and Michael (Amy) Newton of Lexington, a special friend, Nicole Newton of Lexington, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way, 2 brothers, Harold Fraley of Georgetown and Fred (Julie) Fraley of Indiana, and a sister, Carolyn (Wayne) Carter of Tennessee. Carlena Walker, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at ST. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. She was a 90 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Pete and Gwendolyn Gist Walker and a longtime member of Evergreen Baptist Church. A devoted mother and grandmother, sister and aunt, family historian and confidant, her passion was spending time with her family and friends, and browsing at the Goodwill and Kroger stores. She is survived by 4 daughters, Judy (Gene Sr.) Jones and Joyce (Ronnie Sr.) Chenault, both of Paris, LaJava Nell (Michael Sr.) Chenault and Deterria (late Marshall) Sleet, both of Lexington, a son, Adrian (Nawasca) Franklin of Mt.
