Charles Victor Halcomb II, husband of Brenda Clark Halcomb, of Sharpsburg, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013. He was a 69 year old native of Harlan County, son of the late Charles and Daisy Baker Halcomb, a Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War, being a Purple Heart recipient. He was a retired employee from Rockwell International, and member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian (Evey) Halcomb of Camargo, a daughter, Heather (Steven) Osborne of Jeffersonville, a sister, Sue Ann Grissom of Indianapolis, Indiana, a stepson, Johnathan Dyer of Lexington, 2 stepdaughters, Bessie Dyer of Sharpsburg and Alice Faye Dyer of Lexington, 6 grandsons, Layne, Mason and Christian Halcomb, Tyler and Steven Osborne amd Dylan Tibbits, 3 granddaughters, Morgan Cochran, Valerie Spicer, and Alyssa Dyer, many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, special friend, Henrietta Halcomb, and extended family, Arnold, Maria, Marcus, A.J., and Ally McClean, and Brenda Rose.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Lee Halcomb, and a sister, Gail Martin.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial at Victory Chapel, Moorefield Road, Bethel, Kentucky, from 5-8:00 Friday, November 8, 2013. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.Sign/View Guestbook
