Samuel Paul Manley, husband of Mary Jo Richards Manley, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was an 84 year old a native of Montgomery County, a retired engineer from the Kentucky Department of Highways, and a member of the First Church of God.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Michael S. Manley and Daniel C. Manley and his wife, Betty, all of Mt. Sterling, 2 grandchildren, Nathan Paul Manley and his wife, Jody, of Michigan, and Erin Elise, 3 great-grandchildren, Callie Renae Manley, Blake Allen Manley and Auden James Manley, all of Michigan, 2 step-grand-children, Amy Allen and her husband, Scott, and David Chadwick Townsend, both of Mt. Sterling, 2 step-great-grandchildren, Alexis Allen and Gabe Allen, both of Mt. Sterling, a sister-in-law, Linda Gray and her husband, Robert, of Lexington, and 2 brothers-in-law, John White and his wife, Jean, of Harrodsburg, and Tony White and his wife, Nancy, of Lexington and an aunt, Nan Littleton of Mt. Sterling.
His funeral will be 11:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastors Keith Ruthenburg, John Henry and Lowell Rice presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9:00 Sunday.
