Derwood Donte Blanton, son of Derwood and Donna Blanton, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was a 24 year old native of Montgomery County, a student and attended High Street Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 brothers, John Devin Blanton of Mt. Sterling and Shawn Keyes Blanton of Virginia, and 2 sisters, Tevis Blanton of Lexington and Nikki Conners of Louisville, 3 aunts, Brenda (Roy) Reid of Mt. Sterling, Sheri (Randy) Spangler of Circleville, Ohio, and Sherry (Larry) Blanton of Dayton, Ohio, 2 uncles, Ron (Lola) Thomas of Crown City, Ohio and Willie (Bev) Thomas of Bidwell, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews and friends. His funeral will be 2:00 Friday at High Street Christian Church, Reverend Roy K. Reid presiding, with burial in Olive Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 11-2:00 Friday at the church. Billy Morgan Swartz, husband of Audrey Back Swartz, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014. He was an 82 year old native of Bath County, son of the late Herbie and Martha Ellen Ginter Swartz, and retired Air Force veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 sons, David (Loretta) Swartz, Steven Swartz, Herb (Terri) Swartz and Mark (Brandy) Swartz, all of Mt. Sterling and Rickie Clark Swartz of Bath County, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Wilson and a brother-in-law, Clyde Roberts, both of Bath County. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Keith Swartz, a brother, Bobby Dotson Swartz, and a sister, Jean Roberts. Bill McGuire, widower of Hallibe Arrowood McGuire, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014. He was an 87 year old native of Floyd County, son of the late Frank and Ella Scutchfield McGuire, and member of Little Ella United Baptist Church. He is survived by 3 daughters, Marilyn (Donald) Strong of Middletown, Ohio, Carolyn (Dale) Hennis of Atlanta, Georgia, and Debbie McGuire of Trenton, Ohio, a son, Ashford Ray (Cheryl) McGuire of Trenton, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, David, Mike and Susan Shipley, Brandy Strong and William and Ashley McGuire, 4 great-grandchild-ren, Orville, Kara, Siara and Jacob and a sister, Mary Miller of Mt. Orb, Ohio. His funeral will be 10:30 Sunday at Little Ella United Baptist Church, Brother Steve McGuire presiding, with burial in McGuire Cemetery. She was a 75 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Burl and Arbella McCormick Ray, a Walmart employee and member of the First Church of God. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Lee Ann Moore and Susan Moore, and a granddaughter, Leslie Anne Moore, all of Mt. Sterling. Paul S. Toy, husband of Ina Faye Wingate Toy, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Satur-day, November 8, 2014. He was an 87 year old native of Bourbon County, son of the late Claude Owen and Martha Mattie Collins Toy, an Army veteran of WWII, owner and operator of Central Kentucky Termite Company, and a member of the Christian Church and the American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Kathy (Dudley) Hayes and Shirley (Brian) Shale, and a son, Kenneth (Louise) Toy, all of Mt. Sterling, 3 granddaughters, Amy Botts of Lexington, Kelly Campbell and April (Jim) Woessner, 2 grandsons, Al (Joanna) Botts and Shane (Penny) Toy, 2 great-granddaughters, Victoria and Eliza Toy, and 3 great-grandsons, Aaron Botts, Hunter Toy and Cooper Woessner, all of Mt. Sterling and the late Charles William Jones, a registered nurse and a board member of the Blue Grass Hemerocallis Daylily Club. In addition to her mother, she is survived by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Diane Johnson of Lexington and Donna Lee Jones of Mt. Sterling, a nephew, James Mikael Johnson and his fiancé, Dr. Jessica McQuerry of Lexington. Her memorial service is 6:00 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Grassy Lick Road.
