CLYDE "SANDY" BLANTON

CLYDE BLANTON, husband of Saundra, of Meadow View Drive in Means, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2010, at his residence.
He was a 66 year old native of Montgomery County, a retired military officer, former Bluegrass Depot employee, and a member of the Slate Creek Pentecostal Church of God. In addition to wife, Saundra, he is survived by his mother, Lou Emma Poynter of Mt Sterling; 1 daughter, Candace Rogers and her husband Tyson of Morehead; 2 step-sons, Aaron McKinney of Menifee County, and Paul McKinney of Richmond; 3 grandchildren, Helaina Rogers of Morehead, Michael Walker of Georgia, and Christian Smith of Jeffersonville; 1 brother, Chuck Kohlbeck and his wife Stacie of Huber Heights, Ohio; and his very close friend and son-in-law, Rocky Smith of Jeffersonville. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Christina Smith.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Chapel with burial in Fagan Cemetery. Friends may call from 5pm until 8pm Monday at Herald & Stewart.

Rebecca Hurley, daughter of Betty Mutter of Jeffersonville and Tracy Hurley of Pike County, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010. She was a 29 year old native of Pike County, an employee at EDS/HP in Winchester, and a member of the Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Tracey (Paul) Sizemore, 2 nephews, Chase and Nicholas Sizemore, all of Mt. Sterling, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Martha Edington, of Jeffersonville, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010. She was a 79 year old native of Boone County, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Mary Anna Glosson Edington, a homemaker and a member of the Little Ella United Baptist Church. She is survived by her special family, Bobby and Margaret Tabor of Jeffersonville, Mark, Melissa, Sarah Luke and Jennie Rose Walters of Mt. Sterling, Dwayne, Jennifer, Mitchell and Bradly Tabor, Margie Day, Robert Watkins, Sonny and Nancy Becraft, Jeannette, Willie and Hope Dalton, all of Jeffersonville. Delores May Roche Esteppe, wife of Nelson Esteppe, of Calk Lake Road, Jeffersonville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010. She was a 55 year old native of Meadville, Pennsylvania, a housewife and a member of the Christian faith. She is the daughter of the late Howard and Loretta Bump Roche. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Loretta (Roy) Esteppe of Jeffersonville, 2 sons, Mike and Jeremy Ender, both of Meadville, Pennsylvania, 3 stepchildren, Roy and Darrell Esteppe and Della Jean Hall, 3 grandchildren, 4 stepgrandchildren, a sister, Dorrine Oday of Meadville, Pennsylvania, 2 nieces and a nephew. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Glenn Vaughn and Kyle Shoupe, both of Winchester, 4 daughters, Vickie Shoupe and Elizabeth Ellen Walker, both of Winchester, Devonia Carol Marcum of Indiana and Kimberly Sue Combs of Clay City, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Dena Wagner of Middletown, Ohio.
