
CLYDE BLANTON, husband of Saundra, of Meadow View Drive in Means, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2010, at his residence.
He was a 66 year old native of Montgomery County, a retired military officer, former Bluegrass Depot employee, and a member of the Slate Creek Pentecostal Church of God.
In addition to wife, Saundra, he is survived by his mother, Lou Emma Poynter of Mt Sterling; 1 daughter, Candace Rogers and her husband Tyson of Morehead; 2 step-sons, Aaron McKinney of Menifee County, and Paul McKinney of Richmond; 3 grandchildren, Helaina Rogers of Morehead, Michael Walker of Georgia, and Christian Smith of Jeffersonville; 1 brother, Chuck Kohlbeck and his wife Stacie of Huber Heights, Ohio; and his very close friend and son-in-law, Rocky Smith of Jeffersonville. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Christina Smith.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Chapel with burial in Fagan Cemetery. Friends may call from 5pm until 8pm Monday at Herald & Stewart.
