Colette Georges Congleton, widow of William Robert “Bob” Congleton, of Sterling Way, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. She was a 79 year old native of France, the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve Boucher Georges and retired master printer from Lexington Manga Graphics. She is survived by 3 daughters, Mary Lou (Ed) Boss of Winchester, Betty (Billy) Brian and Linda Short, both of Mt. Sterling, 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grand-children, 1 great-great-grandchild, a sister, Monique Dehart, and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Barnes, both of Mt. Sterling. LaVonne Eileen Kelly Horseman, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She was a 71 year old native of Seldovia, Alaska, widow of Harold Horseman, daughter of the late Nick and Dorothy Kvasnikoff Kelly, and former Department Manager at Wal-Mart. She is survived by 2 sons, Thor (Iris) Horseman of Mt. Sterling and Todd (Diana) Vander Plaats of Lexington, 2 daughters, Tye Peterson of Seattle, Washington and Tami Omohundro of Winchester, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a brother, Sonny Kelly of Seattle, Washington and a sister, June Hardy of Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a 64 year old native of Montgomery County, the son of the late Dallas and Lilloway Garland Barnes, an Army veteran, retired carpenter and a member of the Christian Faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John L. He was a Marine veteran of Desert Storm, 2nd Special Forces, West Vriginia Airborne, employed by SMWA of Paris, and a member of the Christian faith, VFW, American Legion, Harley Davidson Owners Group and Bluegrass Harley Davidson Group. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon (Glenn) Copher of Mt. Sterling, and Renee Teegarden of Camargo, a son, Robert A. Teegarden of Mt. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a Kentucky State Police officer for 10 years, Morgan County Deputy Sheriff for 2 years, a building contractor and horse trader and a member of the First Church of God. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Angel Hope Collet and a son, Joey Eugene Griggs, both of Mt. Sterling, 5 grandchildren, Cody, Raven, Tyler, Dalton and Chance, 2 brothers, Archie Wayne Griggs of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Billy Griggs of Indianapolis, Indiana, 2 sisters, Brenda Wright of Frenchburg and Barbara Williams of Mt.
