He was a 92 year old native of Bath County, the son of the late Silas Nelson and Rosa Dee Gilvin Martin, a retired bus driver, and farmer and minister of the Pentecostal Church. He is survived by a daughter, Linda (Gary) Highley of Olympia, 3 sons, Marion (Gladys) Martin, Elgin Dean (Jane) Martin, and Joe (Geraldine) Martin, all of Mt. Sterling, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Raymond Martin of Camargo and Billy Martin of Sharpsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Cheryl Renee Bellamy Coomer, wife of Dennis Coomer for 32 years, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010. She was a 48 year old native of Mt. Sterling, the daughter of the late Stanley and Loraine Stanhope Bellamy, employee for Catalent Pharmaceutical Solutions, and member of Clay City United Methodist Church. She loved to walk her dog, ride her motorcycle, cook, swim and play jokes. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons, Joseph Scott Coomer, Eric Shane Coomer, and Dennis Edward Coomer II, and 2 brothers, Geary Randall Bellamy and Kenneth Ray Bellamy, all of Mt. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 son, Billy Paul Kiser and his wife Sheila of Mt. Sterling; 1 grandson, Shane Kiser and wife Alicia of Mt. Sterling; 1 granddaughter, Heather Kiser of Mt. Sterling; 2 step-grandchildren, Ryan Williams of Ohio, and Jacob Williams of Mt. Sterling; also, several nieces and nephews.
