Ronald “Ronnie” Edward Mitchell, husband of Brenda Foley Mitchell, of Paris, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011. He was a 52 year old native of Flemingsburg, the son of the late Elmer and Louise Fryman Mitchell, a Marine veteran, employee for Colorama Rent-a-Center for 15 years, former employee for Coca Cola for 15 years, employee for Sterling Lanes for 2 years, and a member of the First Church of God in Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason (Rebecca) Mitchell of Paris, 2 daughters, Gina (Kevin) Rose of Jeffersonville and Maria (Josh) Pennington of Lexington, 10 grandchildren, Taylor and Kennedi Mitchell, Cameron Banta, and Brooklyn Orrand, all of Paris, Halie, Clay and Colby Rose of Jeffersonville, Brooklyn, Sophia and Nathan Pennington, all of Lexington, father-in-law, Marvin (Marjorie) Foley of Paris, 5 sisters, Anna “Puppy” Bailey, Barbara (Billy Wayne) Watkins and Connie (Jackie) Cox, all of Ewing, Amy (Bill) Emmons of Nicholas County, and Dixie (Wayne) Wilcox of Flemingsburg, 4 brothers, Larry (Sharon) Mitchell and Donnie (Crystal) Mitchell, both of Ewing, Jackie (Betty) Mitchell of Flemingsburg, and Danny (Kim) Mitchell of Bath County, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be 1:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8:00 Wednesday. Contributions are suggested to the First Church of God Youth Building Fund.
