Bernard Bradshaw Sr., husband of Mable Mynhier Bradshaw, passed away Thurs-day, August 25, 2011. He was an 86 year old native of Mt. Sterling, son of the late Preston and Anna Greene Bradshaw, Army veteran of WWII, retired employee from Hilton-Davis, and a member of the Christian faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 daughters, Faye Martin, Savvadra Bradshaw, Donessia Easterling, and Jacqueline Nolen, and 3 sons, Lemmie, Anthony and Pernell Bradshaw, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, and several grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joseph “Joe” C. Nealis, husband of Kim Ritchie Nealis, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was a 51 year old native of Marion, Indiana, son of Seth and Hazel Compton Nealis of Pelham, Georgia, a retired G.E. employee and a member of the Christian faith. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Joseph Tyler (Kim) Nealis, a daughter, Rachel (Ross) Nealis, and 2 grandchildren, Joseph Garrett Nealis and Sydney Gail Nealis, all of Mt. Sterling, a sister, Tina (Daryl) Sparks and 2 nephews, Alex and Amos Sparks, all of Pelham, Georgia and a niece, Jessie Abercrombie of Nicholasville. She was an 87 year old native of Menifee County, daughter of the late John E. and Emma Wills Pitts, a housewife and a member of Means Miracle Church. She is survived by a son, Charles (Stacy) Kohlbeck of Dayton, Ohio, 2 granddaughters, Candace (Tyson) Rogers of Morehead and Nicole (Chris) Bertram of Dayton, Ohio, a grandson, Doug Kohlbeck of Dayton, Ohio, 8 great-grand-children, and sister, Ruby Brandenburg of Jeffersonville. Margaret Hickey Cassidy, widow of Lloyd L. Cassidy, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011. She was a 97 year old native of Bath County, daughter of the late Patrick E. and Mary Dwyer Hickey, a housewife and a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, Lloyd David (Nancy) Cassidy of Mt. Sterling, 2 daughters, Mary (Michael) Mercuri of Lexington and Cynthia (Byron) Benham of Mt. Sterling, 9 grandchildren, Greta, Rebecca and Andy Morrison, Jonathan Cassidy, Heather McGuire, Mac and Chris Thompson, Ann Cassidy and Ryan Benham, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her rosary service will be 9:40 Wednesday at St. Patricks Catholic Church with funeral mass to follow at 10:00. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery. He was a 79 year old native of Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Effie Mae Hardin and Emmitt Nealis Sr., an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a retired cook. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 daughters, Teresa (Gordon) Williams, Connie (Stan) Spence, Cathy Nealis Helton and Jennifer Nealis, all of Mt. Sterling, and Kimberly (Nick) Martin of Winchester, a son, Victor (Sheila) Nealis of Mt. Sterling, a stepson, Frank Long of Ashland, 2 brothers, Seth (Hazel) Nealis of Georgia and Brooks Nealis of Sharpsburg, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
