Juanita Pugh Kline, widow of Elwood “Jake” Kline, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was an 83 year old native of Blackey, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hobart and Hattie Back Pugh, a houswife and a member of Grassy Lick United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, David (Alma) Kline of Mt. Sterling, 3 sisters, Stella Bishop and Ruby Morris, both of Indiana and Judy Murphy of Wellington, and 3 brothers, H.C. Bob Pugh of Pineville, Louisiana, Doug Pugh of Winchester and Randy Pugh of Beaver Dam. Her graveside service will be 11:00 Tuesday at Grassy Lick Cemetery. Cleo Strange, husband of Dolly Jane Douglas Strange, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011. He was a 73 year old native of Powell County, son of the late Bill and Clemmie Martin Strange, a retired logger, a member of Spruce First Church of God and lifetime member of the NRA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathy Reed of Stanton, 3 sons, Billy (Sondra) Strange of Jeffersonville, Hershel (Leona) Strange of Powell County, and David Hostetler of Jeffersonville, 8 grandchildren, Joey (Brittany) Reed, William (Courtney) Strange, Justin (Ginger) Reed, Stephanie (Steven) Barnes, Darvin, Chad, Jacob and Whitney Hostetler, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Clora Strange of Indiana and Evelyn Strange of Lexington, 2 brothers, Hardin Strange of Powell County and Hubert Strange of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Mack Cyrus Goodpaster passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. He was a 59 year old native of Montgomery County, son of Aulden Perry Russell Goodpaster of Sharpsburg and the late Irvin Goodpaster, veteran of the National Guard, a farmer and a member of the Christian faith. He loved Kentucky sports and fishing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Mike (Connie) Goodpaster of Mt. Sterling, 2 nephews, Michael Goodpaster of Virginia and Morgan (Brandi) Goodpaster of Sharpsburg, a niece, Gloria (Ricky) Donithan of Mt. Sterling, 3 great-nieces, Lexie and Caroline Donithan, both of Mt. Sterling and Addisyn Goodpaster of Sharpsburg, and a great-nephew, Chase Curtis of Mt. Sterling.
