Harold Anderson Stone, husband of Sylvia Coker Stone, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was a 90 year old native of West Virginia, son of the late John Adams and Daisy Sawyer Stone, an Army veteran of WWII, retired employee from Kroger and a member of the First Church of God. In additon to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Stone of Mt. Sterling and Patricia Ann (Denny) Duperron of Flat Rock, Michigan, a son, David Harold Stone of Allen Park, Michigan, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Alford Stone of Florida. His funeral will be 11:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Visitation is 5-9:00 Tuesday. Nancy Elizabeth Jordan Wiggins, widow of Garnett Wiggins and M.S. Branden-burg, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012. She was an 86 year old native of Clark County, daughter of the late Raymond and Betty Jordan, a retired seam-stress after 34 years, and a member of the Christian faith. She is survived by a daughter, Patty (Stuart) Conley of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons, Isaac (Lois) Brandenburg of Lexingon and Shirley (Penny) Brandenburg of Powell County, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister, Beverly Baker and 2 brothers, Dillard and Sidney Jordan, all of Clark County. Jerry “J.B” Gibbs, widow of Pauline Burrus Gibbs, passed away Thursday, Jan-uary 19, 2012. He was a 79 year old native of Magoffin County, son of the late Irvin and Jean Salyer Gibbs, a retired Avon Army Depot employee and member of Peeled Oak Christian Church and Masonic Lodge #23. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at Barkley Lake and the old homeplace at Sand Mountain. He is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Donnie) Snelling of Mt. Sterling and Patsy Ericson of Birmingham, Alabama, 2 sons, Jerry (Cyndi) Gibbs of Mt. Sterling, and Greg (Beth) Gibbs of Louisville, 2 stepsons, Robert (Brenda) Rowland of Raleigh, North Carolina and Ed (Trish) Rowland of Louisville, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his stepmother, Barbara Harvey Gibbs of Mt. Sterling, a brother, Bridges (Carol) Gibbs, and a half-sister, Debbie (Eric) Slemp, both of Mt. Sterling. His funeral will be 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
