Darlene Strange Brown, wife of Richard “Satch” Brown, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. She was a 67 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Sterling and Ida Bell Martin Strange, a housewife and a member of Donaldson Road Baptist Church. In addtion to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Angie Brown of Jeff-ersonville, 2 sons, Jeff (Tracy) Brown of Carlisle and Steve (Becki) Brown of Win-chester, 4 granddaughters, Shelby, Autumn, and Ashland Brown and Kristian Roberts, 5 grandsons, Chris and Dustin Gross, Logan and Caleb Brown and Bobby Lee Roberts, 3 sisters, Bernice (Raymond) Martin, Faye Gray and Eunice Mangold, 2 brothers, Roy (Geneva) Strange, Hubert (Margie) Strange, and several nieces and nephews. James Robert Thomas, widower of Frances Garrett Thomas, passed away Thurs-day, February 23, 2012. He was a 94 year old native of Bath County, son of the late William and Hattie Mae Thomas, an Army veteran of WWII, retired Avon Army Depot employee and a member of High Street Christian Church and Masonic Lodge #56. He is survived by 2 daughters, Bonita Hunt Scott of Mt. Sterling and Bobbie Jean Burns of Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Ferguson Garrett of Louisville, 7 grandchildren, Sonya Scott, Elgin and Collin Garrett, Debra Jean Carter, Elizabeth Hooker, Kenny and Ray Burns Jr., several great-grandchildren, including Elise Scott, and 2 brothers, Earl and Roger Thomas, both of Louisville.
