She was an 81 year old native of Bath County, daughter of the late Eddie Hayes and Lou Ella Burns Jones, a retired hairdresser and a member of High Street Christian Church. She is survived by 3 daughters, Devon Christina Redmond, Shirley M. Greene and Angela Carol Redmond-Lewis, all of Lexington, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grand-children. Stirl Maiden Sr., husband of Roberta Stanfill Maiden, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012. He was an 83 year old native of Sneedwell, Tennessee, son of the late Shelt and Martha Taylor Maiden, a retired employee from General Motors, and a member of the Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Martha (Roger) Wilkinson of Bay City, Texas, and Tammy Hensley of Monroe, Michigan, 2 sons, Tommy (Becky) Maiden and Tony (Shannon) Maiden, both of Jeffersonville, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandsons, 4 sisters, Effie King of Florida, Essie Russll of Monroe, Michigan, Dessie (Jim) Cloum of Lasalle, Michigan and Ruby (Mac) Jones of Frakes, and a brother, Laudy (Carolyn) Maiden of Monroe, Michigan. Pfc Dustin Dean Gross, son of Angie Brown and Stacy Gross, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 in Afganistan. He was a 19 year old native of Montgomery County, Montgomery County High School graduate, an Army veteran, assigned to 3rd Squadron,73rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Divison based in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and a member of The Cathedral of Glory. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Christopher Wayne Gross of Jeffersonville, maternal grandfather, Richard “Satch” Brown of Mt. Sterling, maternal grandmother, Benda Moore of Mt. Sterling, paternal grandfather, Bill Ray Gross of Menifee County, 2 aunts, Jill Tipton and Toni Richardson, both of Mt. Sterling, 2 uncles, Jeff Brown of Carlisle and Steve Brown of Winchester and numeous cousins.
